Daniel, QA Manager

What are your primary responsibilities?
I’m responsible for providing strategic direction to the QA team, producing a high quality set of processes that facilitate airG's business objectives. I oversee and manage all QA related aspects, and help to foster positive relationships within the team as well as with the other teams we work with.

What languages/tools/resources do you use to accomplish these tasks?
I typically work heavily in Outlook & Excel to manage emails, tasks, and projects.

What is a ‘typical’ day like for you?
The majority of the week is spent following up on project work. The rest of the time is split between meeting with various team and project team members, working on new QA initiatives, and general management.

How did you find out about your position?
The position was a referral from a past airG colleague.

What was the interview process like?
I met with HR and one of the Project Managers for the interview process. It was a comfortable and pleasant opportunity to get to know airG and see if the fit would be good both ways.

What do you like to do for fun outside of work?
I enjoy digital photography. My favorite subjects are people, flowers and bugs.

What I like most about my job.
airG is a dynamic environment that sustains and promotes fresh ideas and constant improvement. This is the type of environment where productivity and creativity thrives, and I am very happy to be a part of it.
