Sifat, Business Solutions Specialist
What are your primary responsibilities?
My primary responsibilities are to establish and maintain carrier relationships at a technical level. I am also responsible for developing and deploying premium products for these carriers. I work closely with various Business Development Managers and cover numerous regions around the world including Australia, New Zealand and certain parts of North America.
What languages/tools/resources do you use to accomplish these
tasks?
In addition to using a wide variety of internal office tools I extensively use various programs from the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe CS3 Suite. I also extensively use SalesForce.com to track all of our sales driven activities.
What is a ‘typical’ day like for you?
I spend a large amount of time managing carrier requests and concerns related to our product. I also spend a large portion of my day helping conceptualize and design customized solutions for our carrier partners, come up with streamlined premium solutions for airG products and deploying them on new and existing partner decks.
My calendar is typically action packed with meetings with members from various teams and conference calls with technical and sales representatives from our partners.
How did you find out about your position?
I began working at airG as a Customer Care Representative and joined the Business Solutions team as a result of an internal opportunity.
What was the interview process like?
I was initially hired as part of the Customer Care Team. The interview for my current position was more hands-on as about a year of working in Customer Care, the Business Development team sent out an offer to my manager indicating that they needed help with our WAP storefront and I offered to help out for a few weeks. The results of my efforts were quite favourable and I was offered to take on these responsibilities permanently.
What do you like to do for fun outside of work?
I like to play music! In my spare time I play the guitar, keyboards and a little bit of drums and have recently started experimenting with digital music authoring software. I also like photography and enjoy taking pictures of landscapes, people and nature.
What I like most about my job.
airG has a very friendly and flexible work environment. My role at airG is very unique and exciting as I consistently contribute to the design and development of premium services. This allows me to be creative and gives me the flexibility to challenge conventions. I value being a member of such a dynamic team because airG allows me to think out of the box and constantly gives me opportunity for growth.
