3 engineering students start working on a project for a Canadian telecom operator, forming the first ‘airGames’ suite of mobile games

2001

The million-dollar moment

AtomicDove launched, generates 100 million minutes of airtime usage – reaching our first $1 million in profitable sales, operators globally show interest

2002

Big league distribution deals

Licensing agreements reached with leading mobile operators: Vodafone, Telstra, T-Mobile, Orange, Verizon, AT&T, and many more

2003

Expanding product scope and reach

Expanded to downloadable (j2me) games, through large catalogue of 500+ games, distributed through operators in over 20 countries

2004

Scaling up

Launched j2me version of chat/IM client ‘airDate’, scaled to over 5 million customers

Expanded airDate functionality to airG community, expanded to MMS/mobile web – scaled to 25+ million customers
